Solitude Pt. 7

Walking along the promenade and feeling so small in comparison to the light show overhead is captured in this painting.  The vast array of sunset colors bring the observer an opportunity to feel warmth, and a sense of belonging which can only be felt under big skies. The tones of the painting are meant to reflect the powerful rays setting behind the island of Arran, and because the town is home to some perfect pets, the girl in the red duffle coat is shown walking her dogs.
